I have a friend trying to talk me into a banks pda system, is it any good or is it dangerous to the tranny like the edge. I do have an xcal2 from Matt. I do like the idea of shift on the fly though.
you have the best, why go to junk? you made the right choice man. The shift on the fly sounds nice too. But to save a couple of min to change tunes but kill your motor or tranny convinced me to wait a couple mins, compared to a couple grand.
Keep what you got and let the smoke roll man!
Thats what I thought thanks, He owns an rv center and Pushes the banks for the motorhomes. He keeps bugging me and just wanted an informed answer to give him some facts and shut him up.
Ask him if his insurance for the business will cover the destruction of your 5R110 :-P Thats about as good as any of these inline fuel chips are good for..

Your so called friend pushes the Banks equipment because there is a huge profit margin in it for him. Banks equipment for the 6.0 & Torqueshift is marginal to poor at best along with being way overpriced. In addition canned tunes/chips/modules are never as good as custom tuning on the 6.0 & Torqueshift.
Do a search on FTE, there are multiple threads on trashed 6.0 & Torqueshift thanks to Banks equipment.

For you at this point that would be like taking several steps back...sounds like the friend must have something in it for him if he gets you to switch. as mentioned they are WAY!!! over priced.

Shift on the fly loses it's novelty after awhile, trust me I had it with the bullydog, I had to switch because I was doing other upgrades that the triple dog couldn't account for. So if your going to be upgrading anything else, what you have now gives you the option to do so in the programming, if you want with the banks system you won't have that option.
thanks for the info, He is a dealer wishihada. And I tried the edge before I found out about the xcal so I now run it. and will stay with it. Just wanted to verify my thoughts on the banks product.
