So where are we doing basic training at? Well the truck looks good from what I saw you did a pretty decent paint job. Looks like the rear bump could use some help and I do't remember seeing a front bumper at all. By the way my names Mike I used to be in the Army. Good luck with all you do.
Congrats on finishing boot camp man! Ft Jackson isnt too bad in SC. There is always something to do if you go off base. If you ever need anything or if you just need a place to crash let me know. Im only about 45min away.
Congratulations. Training is probably the hardest time in the military. They take everything away from you. Once you are done, then it is (fairly) normal living. Hang in there, and good luck
Since he calls it "Boot Camp" as opposed to "Basic Training," or "Basic" he is probably in the Navy or Marines.
When I was in Army Basic in 1968, I couldn't wait to get home to my hot girl friend and my 64 Galaxie 500XL. I understand totally. In my case, I missed the girl slightly more than the car.
Hick,
We appreciate your service. Keep in touch and let me know if you need anything.
I would say Navy since He has a Navy Flag in the back of the truck. I retired after 22 years of punching holes under the ocean. Take advantage of tuition assistance for college while your in you can beat it. Good luck to you as you start you time in the military.

Glad to hear you're doing well. Depending on which camp you will be at, I am either an hour or 3 hours away if you get leave and need a quick Ford Fix. I'm starting the tear down phase on my '74 and would wecome any wrenching you might want to provide!
Seriously though, I have told you before, I am honored that you are serving....and if there is anything at all you need, be sure to let me or any of us know...we will support you 901%.
God Bless you and all your family in the Service of the United States of America.
U.S.M.C. 86-92 We only got 2 phone calls, once when we got there to tell momma we were alive, and once the week before graduation to see if anyone was coming to pick us up! Now they are using computers in Boot camp ,,, jeezs h crimmony!!
Well welcome to the modern military where nothing gets done with physical work unless you count pushing buttons. And if the drill instructor makes you cry they lose there job so every thing is soft that is the whole problem. Sorry I work with soldiers every day and remember how it was just five years ago when I was in it seems each year the military looses more of its stern way of life.
