gear slector stuck help

hi i went to move my truck been sitting for awhile and can't get out of park I took linkage off the trans and it shifts fine but the shifter won't come out of park 79 f150 4x4 auto 351 help

Is the truck on a incline ?

Once the linkage was removed..would the shift lever move ?

which one did you remove ?

gear slector stuck help

hi the one from the shifter,the trans seems fine the shifter is stuck is there a way to free it or is it broke?

Perhaps the lower shift lever on the column that the rod attaches to has become jammed or the shift tube sleeve insode is broken

here's an exploded view.
