oil pressure sender...
the brass pipe comin' out the side of the block on my '80 302, (actually a 5.o from a later truck) but the brass pipe cracked when i replaced my sender, i thought it was loose so i was gonna take it out, but it finished breaking instead, the remnant of threads left in the block was about 2 threads into the block at it's outermost part, thank god for my snap-on ease outs, ANYWAYS, i just blocked it off for now with a pipe plug since the parts store in this town closes at noon on sat. i was wondering if rather than pulling the fuel pump and oil filter if i could put the sender somewhere else when i get the fitting monday, i understand this will change the reading of the oil pressure gauge, but i think it would be better put in a different place, any ideas?
