hi
i have an extra Dynomax stainless muffler from one of the cars that i want to throw on my Ranger. the other muffler off the car sounds great on our 4.6 F-150, but i want to make sure my unmodified 6 popper Ranger will sound okay with it before i go through with the fabrication.
has anyone done this to a 4.0L? just a muffler, no other mods yet? did it sound okay, or will i just embarass my poor truck?
thanks
I had the gibson dual sport on mine and it had a great rumble, but yet wasn't roaring loud. The difference between just a muffler and a catback, is the catback has a little bigger pipes. So with stock pipes it still should ahve a decent rumble.

right. i build race cars, and so am familiar with all types of exhaust. that's why i mentioned no mods -- everything stock from the headers back -- 'cause slapping a muffler on a bone stock system can sometimes be irritating! : )
now with a blessing from you truck guys, i'm gonna go ahead...
thanks
