can the drivers side mirror
Removal: Position the mirror to obtain a gap at the inside lower edge. Look behind the mirror and using a screwdriver or small prybar, carefully pry the jackscrews out of the mirror backing plate socket. Be carefull - the plastic pins (about 1.5-2" long) on the back of the mirror need to be reused - don't lose or break them. Disconnect heater or signal wires, if equipped.
Install:Install the plastic pins from the broken mirror onto the new one - you may need to heat the backing plate to get the pins in. Using a heat gun or hair dryer, heat the backing plate sockets. Reconnect heater/signal wire(s), align pins and carefully apply sufficient force to pop the backing plate onto the center pivot and the pins into the jackscrews.
Take your time and pay attention and you shouldn't have any problems.
