Fog Light Wiring
I am thinking about putting some lights on the exterior of my truck for hunting season. The issue is that I want to be able to remove the lights when I am not using them. How could I get power to the lights, but still be able to control them from the cab? I could easily tap into the trailer/auxillary power connection, but then I can't control them from inside the cab.

The official fog light wiring looks complicated. My truck doesn't have the fog light integrated switch. I was thinking about something I could prop up from the truck bed to shine out over the cab.

Then I recommend you get a plug and wire it into the cigarette lighter socket. If you have a sliding rear window you could run the wire through that to the light, and then just unplug everything when you didn't use it.

I thought of the rear sliding window myself. Unfortunately, I don't have one! What I am thinking about doing is wiring into the trailer wiring, then using a magnet to control a reed switch on the outside of the window. That way I will be able to control it from inside.
