Have to recycle the glow plugs 4 times in the morning to start it?
Starts and runs fine the rest of the day.
Smells strongly of raw fuel when first trying to start?
Getting worse every day?
Thanks for any info.
You ought to do a search on "glow plug relay" and "glowplugs"....it is one or the other that is your problem. Testing/repairing them is easy. The longer you wait the harder it will be on your batteries and starter.
What are the temps like up their? Are you plugging it in yet? Sounds to me like it could be your glow plugs are not working. Might want to check that out.
I vote for the glow plug relay, that is common, a good way to test it is when the truck is cold in the morning use a screw driver to jump between the two large terminals for 20 seconds, (it will arc when you initially connect) then get in and crank the truck.

My experience with the GPR is that it either works or doesn't work. Vinford says it does start after cycling the key a few times...I bet on some bad glowplugs. Please post results Vinford, OK?
