lol ok cool, thnx. i want to go to crossover steering on my truck.i have an 8.5 procomp lift.and my ball joints r bad i think.the steering wheel wobbles left and right at a slow rythem, and its a pain to deal with.i have vibrations too but i am pretty sure thats u joints.i have replaced quite a few of those being an off roader. so while im at it im redoing the whole front end.off road unlimited wants 300+ bucks for a draglink with ends....i can build it for 120.with rod ends instead of balljoint type rod ends.while im at it i want to do the trac bar and tie rod too.all of them with spherical (sp?) rod ends.the question is does anyone know off hand what length the tracbar, draglink and tie rod.and is going to spherical a really bad thing on a daily driver truck? also do i have to put any bends in the draglink if i have x-over steering?i have seen alot of trucks with custom tracbar, tie rods and draglinks like this, and im pretty sure i can do it but jus trying to make sure there isnt more to it i dont know about.another reason for this is im planing on a dual ram hydraulic steering assist setup.im gonna peice it together myself and fab my own brackets.so while im there i wanna do my tierods, links ect.wanna do the dyna trac hubs too.bout 4 grand worth of parts in the front end.but i figure it will all be worth it in the end with less failures and repair bills.and the reason for going with the spherical rod ends is simply because they last longer than ball joints, are cheaper, and i just dont like the ball joints.loli know i have to drill out the tapered holes in the knuckles to 3/4 too,if i get rid of the ball joints.so my main question besides lengths and such is am i on target here?or am i way off trying to do something that can lead to catastrophic failure?thnx for the time to read this and sorry for being so long winded....hard to paint a picture like this. jr
