no smog control equiptment help
i have smog test comin up quick here in ontario and the truck has no cat or any smog stuff as i can tell
has it been taken off on me or is it not sposed to be on it?

I think you should have a converter, smog pump, EGR and such. Maybe find a shop manual and see exactly what belongs on it.

Some (all?) F-150's in Canada got away with being emission-free a few years longer than in the U.S.

ya this year in my area they decided that any 83 and up needs to pass emitions of the date it was made
and a yearly test there after
although if i was to put in a 302 or 351 it fall in the hotrod catagory and has to meet a set of minimum standards
but i like the 300 i have it out tows my nabors 82 f250 with a 351m auto

retested today and failed at idle i was told that its dumpin to much raw gas out the exhaust
hc ppm limit 300 was 558
co% limit 1.50 was 7.93
says idle was 902rpm
wile runing at speed (2062rpm) it did well
HC ppm limit 144 had 22
CO% limit 1.20 had 0.13
what do i need to do here
to much raw gas at idle eh
that mean its runing rich down there?
i havent go the fogest

Adjust the mixture way down. Further than you'd think. Best of paying a shop with the right equipment. Throw some IPA (purest you can find) in the tank too. About a 4 US pints to a full tank. You should get some better numbers. Good luck.
