getting ready to put on my exhaust tomarrow, mbrp 4 inch cool duals. any tips for making this easy? or is it easy to begin with. my wife will be helping me with the downpipe, since i heard it was hard with 1 person. thanx
spray the clamp with PB blast or WD-40 at the turbo for the down Pipe now and again before you start...hang every thing first..look to make sure its all where you want it and not hitting any thing..starting at the turbo tighten all the clamps working your way back..good luck and have fun...

Use a sawsall with a new 6" metal blade to cut up the old exhaust, safety glasses are a must when you are on your back. There are a couple of bolts that hang down from the passenger seat nip them back. And like Ron said spray the V clamp now!!
how does the clamp come off? i was just out looking at it. does it slide off to the downpipe side? i was going to go try to get it off now but i think ill spray it tonight and try it tomarrow. once i get the bolt loose, do i just try to pry it to the side?
the stud will hing open after you loosen the the nut..after the stud is out of the way you will need to pry both sides of the clamp working your way around the clamp with a scew driver till it pops loose,,it can be Bi^%h some times...
screw it, im puttin it on in the dark tonight, with the aid of my wife and some flood lights. old exhaust and downpipe are off, wasnt too bad, sawzall blades are a MUST for anyone doing this with no lift, or in the dark. gonna go try to get her on in about 15 minutes. hope all goes well.
I was able to install my 4" single MBRP exhaust in little more than 3 hours by myself in the driveway. The 2 hardest parts was cutting the old one out and getting the downpipe installed. I got creative with the downpipe and used zip ties to "hold" it in position so I could get the clamp installed on the turbo. I also used a couple of cinder blocks with various pieces of wood in strategic spots underneath to hold the system in place while I fitted tall the pieces, muffler etc.
Do not tighten anything up until you have made sure that all pieces are where you want them. I had a clearance problem on the section that goes over the diff. but needed some slack from the extension tube in front of the muffler in order to make me happy. I also had to retighten everything after a couple of test drives.
Getting the clamp started on the downpipe was the worst. It took a good 30 min with help to do so. I don't want to do it again anytime soon. I hope it went better for you than it did for me!
im back, just got done sleeping after work, lol. stayed up until 11 oclock getting it done, and of course a 15 minute test drive full throttle around town. didnt go to bad, hardest part was getting everything to stay put without tightening it all as i went because i have a pitched driveway and the exhause kept falling off without being tight. if i would have thought asbout it without being so exited i wouldve backed into my driveway but i didnt think about that until all of the old stuff was off. all in all it took about 2 and a half hours with breaks and cursing time, had my wife to help with the downpipe clamp, popped right off after i sprayed some pb blaster on it. not expecting much for MPG gains for awhile because i cant keep my foot off the throttle, the whistle is so loud now, i love it. thanx for all of the tips everyone, went real well, even doing it in the dark with 1 flood lamp.
