I have just aquired a Warn 12,000 lb used winch, and i am putting it on my f150....just wondering if i get f250 or f350 coils will that stiffin up the front end alittle, and will they fit???
I don't know if they will fit, but you will have to use 2wd springs, the 4wd 250/350 used leafs in the front.
Be careful messing with springs on these trucks. If it changes the ride height at all, you are going to have alignment problems, and that means increased tire wear. I would try the winch, and see what happens with the stock springs. I put a snowplow on my f150, with the stock springs. It definitely sagged when I had the plow on, but it did not hurt it at all when I took the plow off, and left the plow frame with the hydraulic unit and lights on the truck. I drove it all year round with that stuff still on it. I doubt your winch would weight anymore than that.
