steering wheel problems

I have a '95 150 i got almost a year ago now. the cruise control buttons as well as the horn buttons on the steering wheel have never worked. I checked the fuses in the cab and everything was fine.

Looking for some advice as to were to start looking next solve this problem.

does your airbag light flash? as if flashing a number. if its flashing 32 (not 32 blinks, blinks 3 times small break then blinks 2 time) if so you need to have your clockspring replaced. Thats the only thing that connects those switches to the truck as well as the airbag.

sounds like your switches are no good... but i still bet on the clock spring

Definitly gonna say the clock spring it's what grounds the controls in the steering wheel.

Look and see if the airbag light comes on at start up . Bottom left of cluster . I bet the bulb was pulled or burned out . Sound like clock spring. Good luck

when i start the truck up the air bag light goes on for a couple of seconds then goes off.

What do i have to do to check that the clockspring is working?
