Seems like this has been a hot topic lately, I'm thinking about putting a 5spd i my truck. Currently I've got a np435, but it's wearing out. Question #1 is the clutch disc/pressure plate the same for 4 and 5spds? Question #2 would the 5spd bolt to the np208? Question #3 which 5spd would be best behind the 302? I like the granny gear, and I know the ZF has it, but they seem hard to find.

The M5od would work in your truck just fine, no granny gear but I pulled a lot more weight with mine than I should have without any problems. Just make sure it always has fluid. They develop a leak on the top that only seems to drip while it's running/moving. The clutch may be the same, look up the part numbers for both, if they are different you may just have to change the flywheel to use the 5spd clutch. Do the same thing for the t-case, look up the gasket that goes between the tranny and t-case and see it it's the same. You may have to do some linkage work though.
