I have a 1988 f150 with a 5.0 engine. I noticed that when you cut the blower fan on for the a/c or heater that the engine temperature gauge starts going up immediately, and the chargeing gauge goes way down like the alternator isnt chargeing. but when I checked the chargeing system with my multimeter it was reading 13.4 volts. so I know the alternator isnt a issue. so what could cause the gauges to act like this... Steve
sounds to me like it's not an issue, and i'm in the same boat with a new alternator. its good, and when i measure at the battery, it's at 14. again, my other post seems to say "no immediate concern"
