Smile Hello everyone

I have been kicking around here for a couple of weeks first as a lurker and now signed up. Just bought a F150 5.4l Lariat SCREW or SCAB with 38 k and spent 19500 well here is the link to the truck.
http://www.berkenkotter-motors.com/V...5-EA57CDD3084C} i know it will only be up for a couple of weeks but give me your thoughts on price anyway

So here is what I learned kicking around your forum...please feel free to enlighten me with your opinions.

My back window will leak under high pressure wash

To level the nose of this truck Auto Spring seems to be the product of choice and 2" is perfect when towing and not so perfect if I add a brush guard or Bull bars as then the 2.5" is preferred

Its normal that the 2004 5.4L sounds like a diesel

There are no recalls on the 2004 at least I haven't found any

Spark Plugs take a specialized tool and are a B@&^% to get out in tact and can leave me with a pricey repair so I will leave it to the dealer...

The cheap running boards on my truck should be replaced with Westin Nerf bars (agreed broke one already)

Cold Air intake should be installed Volant seems to be the leader in this area

All I should really need to do is put gas and change fluids on regular intervals in this rig besides what I have pointed out and I will love the truck...as everyone here does theirs

Truly I love the wealth of information and I feel I did the right thing in purchasing this truck as beyond the price it truly seems indestructible. I love the truck so far and can't wait to start adding all the toys with the suggestion you folks are giving me....

I hope to add to the community and while build up this rig...thanks ahead of time for your contribution and giving me a place to come learn and share ideas.

Oh do you 4 x 4 guys ever get together in person like a Rally? You know a MOAB, UT or cruise Colorado trails type of thing? Maybe a GA, mud bog....ewww sorry their in a drought currently...but you see what I am aiming at

Welcome to the world of piston slap!
Yes, it is normal (in some engines) and shouldn't be a long-term problem, that is if it is piston slap (does it only do it when its cold?) and not pinging... (does it when it is hot)

The rest of your questions/problems can probably be best answered in either the 04-08 F150 forum, or the 4.6/5.4l V8 forum!

As for a rally, check out your local chapter:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/forum81/

They have get to-gethers
