Could two owners who each wanted the opposite thing just swap straight up?

I've been wondering the same thing. I've got 4.88 and was wondering how difficult it would be to at least go down to 4.30.

I wouldn't think it would be a problem as long as you get the right gears for your differential, I thought some of the 4.88's in the newer trucks were Dana Super 60s?

I would think you would notice and increase in mileage, but not as much torque if you pull a lot.

I would like 4.30's to help get more speed outta the truck without suffering from lost mileage at high speeds.
