A 'thud" in reverse

I believe that it maybe normal, as the brakes change directions, the calipers float and cause a slight thud. I've had it on most 4x4 disk brake trucks i've owned, never had a problem. Maybe the pads moving around on the piston too???

So far I hear no thud. May be my 07 is thudless. Is thudless a word? Well anyway I will keep checking.

Mine did it too, always thought I had hit somthing. I did take mine to the dealer, they said it was the breaks floating and was normal. The guy said they didn't touch a thing, but I have never had it do it again.

Mine is doing this too. Usually while I am turning and backing up, right when I come to a stop. Sounds like I ran over soda can.

The only time I have heard a thud was when I was parked on a hill and my emergengy brake was not engaged and tried shifting out of park.

My companies Ford Windstar does the same thing, sounds awful.
