tail light replacement

I feel a little stupid asking what is normally a simple task how to remove a tail light lense on a 97 f150 but after I removed the two bolts it feels hesitant to come lose. What else do I have to do to get it off so I can replace the bulb?

I just did mine on my 2005 F150 yesterday. Pull to the outside of the truck then straight back. There's little retaining ***** on the lens.

Thanks for the encouragement, that's all it took. The retaining tabs were a bit stubborn but finally came loose.

Rear lense removal

Thank you so much for this discussion thread... made changing the turn signal bulb so very easy and especially the extra hint about pulling the cover over to the outside and then straight back... worked great!
