full float axle seal swap
hello all, my 1st post. question: can someone give me a step by step procedure to change out the rear axle seal on my 88 2WD, 7.5 ltr. F-250 with full floating rear? thanks, slash, great forum for great trucks!

after taking off tire and wheel - remove the axle bolts and pull out the axle shaft - go to advance or auto zone - pep boys and borrow the socket set to do this job and remove the locknut and bearing ...then you can remove the hub - viola! - the seal is on the inside of the hub...reverse to put back together....find out how tight to tighten the bearing nut from Haynes or Ford dealer
