DOHC 5.4 liter
Has anyone heard when Ford will offer their 300+ HP DOHC 5.4 liter in the F-Series and Expedition? I do a fair amount of medium towing (snowmobiles and boat) and I am waiting until they up the HP and torque to trade in my 97 150 with 110,000 miles. The SOHC gets the job done, but it still kicks out of O/D too often on those long runs to find the snow.

Not '03.
It could be '04 but, I doubt it.
Ford doesn't play all it's cards in a model year and engine beef is one of the favorites it likes to hold back.
In '04, the new bodystyle will be enough to carry it.
Depending on sales that year, Ford will decide whether to release an engine beef in '05 or hold it till it's really needed.
If you can't wait that long, you can pick up a Navigator anytime.

Sure, that and $45,000 of my closest friends, lol. Maybe I will keep my 97 for another 4 years and pick up an 03 Cobra with 390 horse for the daily driver.
