battery light
hello everyone , first time user well actually second time ,had bad experience the first, my question still remains, i changed my alternator about a week ago, its charging, battery is fine had it checked several times as well as the alt.. but my battery light or if u will my insignia my (battery sign) wont go out, ive tried everything to reset it ,by taking cables off to checking fuses and relays . please help,its driving me crazy

See my response in the other thread. It appears that there are two possible scenarios. In order to pinpoint the problem, the voltage question must be answered. If this type of diagnosis is beyond your ability, you might want to have a mechanic diagnose and fix.

no its not above my or beyond my ability , maybe you didnt get my last response,which was voltage under load is 14.7 and other wise 14.2 and my alternator checks fine, im thinking my belt might need changing? ,have you got a line on that senario..... thanks
