hot tranny?
well, 2 weeks ago I went for a trip from Sault Ste. Marie, MI to Windsor Ontario, I drove about 75-80 miles an hour the the most of it and 60 for construction- making for a 5-1/2 hour trip including fueling and food stops etc. Longest the truck was off was for about 10-15 minutes. Its a 94 ranger with 4.0 awd manual tranny. When I went across the ambassador bridge, I noticed the floor under the seats and the hump by the stick were quite warm.. I picked up m flashlight from in between the seats- (I have 60/40s, and sort eh 4 cell maglight in the crack) and it was warm- not hot, but warm enough to work as a hand warmer.. is this a tranny problem, or just normal? I never really pushed her that 'hard' before... Just wondering.. It did the same thing on the way back to the Sault.

oh yeah- 71,500 original miles on the truck... I am gonna check for tranny leaks this afternoon... Just been real busy with school. if **** the cat converter, I might get a better shield- the old one is all rusted...
