If your looking for Aux driving lamps read this.

I just installed a set of Hella Micro FF driving lamps on my truck and all I can say is WOW. These things are tiny, in comparision to many other driving lamps, and they put out a HUGE amount of light. Since the stock headlights on our trucks are so dim I was planning on leaving them on all the time. However, after my brief test tonight that's not gonna work at all. The first 3 cars that passed me all flashed me their high beams so I had to turn the lights off. Looks like these lights are gonna be reserved for late night driving in Upstate NY. I can't wait to test these things on a dark country road. So, if you're looking for aux driving lamps with great light output, that aren't the size of basketballs, I'd suggest buying a set of these.

Below are the ones I've been planning on installing. They include two bulbs in each unit and are still very low profile. One bulb is for "fog" light needs while the other is for "driving" light needs, both bulbs being the 55W halogen type. I've also posted a link for your convenience.

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw them. However, I've had Hella products in the past and they've held up very well. The case of the lamp is a hard molded plastic so I'm sure if it got whacked hard enough it would be lights out, pun intended. My truck is mainly on road duty so I'm not too worried about large foreign objects hitting them. The glass seems to be very thick and the lenses are pretty heavy so hopefully they'll take small road debris pretty well. Only time will tell.

The set came with a waterproof relay and almost everything you need to wire it up. What really surprised me was that the kit didn't come with an inline fuse. But I guess there are multiple ways you could fuse/wire it up so not putting one in the kit could be a cost saving measure for Hella. The lamps came with 16 guage wire so I kicked it up to 14 guage all around.

I'll take some pics tonight and post them up.

There was a post on here about the time I joined the forum where members were putting these lights behind their grill, but I can't remember who it was.

I've mounted several types of fog and driving lights on my past vehicles. I always use the link below to "aim" my lights. Seems after this I don't get a lot off other drivers annoyed by my aux lights.

I posted up some pics in my Gallery of the lights on the truck and in use. This weekend I'll try and get some pictures of the lamps in the day.

Ditto. I'll be using that link on Saturday night to aim my lights properly.
