2 unknown threaded bolt holes..help

I was under the truck all day today.
and I noticed these two (2) threaded bolt holes in my radius support arms.
they are on the very bottom, pointing to the ground, one on each arm, in-line with one another and about mabey 15" to the right of the Pivot bushing area.
they each have a metal clip -(like those clip-locks for a bolt -instead of using a nut)- I dont know..there hasnt been anything bolted into them for awhile, not since Ive owned it anyway..almost makes you think there was some kind of plate bolted to each arm..for like mabey deflecting rocks,n sh** from the axel area??-again, I dont know..anyone have an Idea??

Could you maybe take some pics of what you are talking about and post them?

That would probably be the best Idea for this...
I'll try to track down a camera..
I was kinda hoping someone would take a glance under their front end and notice anything bolted to their radius axel arms -looking at the front end
-left of the diff pod..But yea, A picture would work better.
