So Proud!!
Had the chance this weekend to do my first extensive towing trip w/ my truck. I took a load of furniture from Ga to N.C. in a 28ft gooseneck enclosed car trailer. The trailer weighed exactly 7k. I know it aint that heavy but it was a good light cardio for the truck. Trip is 432 miles one way. Truck did everything i expected it to do and more. I-85 is full of rolling hills and it only had to kick out of overdrive twice on the way there. All the engine parameters were normal. Boost numbers maxed out at 27-29 psi and egts reached a high of 1100 degrees on one hard hill climb. Tranny never moved from 165 degrees the entire trip. Averaged 13.3 mpg running 70-75mph there and 14.2 on the way back. I was very pleased with the truck and just thought i would share a positive experience!! I wish everyone could have a healthy 6.0L to run on the highway. They really do shine out there!!
