That must have been a very very hi speed camera. Even if the engine is idling at 1000 rpms, the ability for it to catch that motion is a feat in itself. You can even see the spark plug ignite the gas.

It says right on the link that a 1000fps (frames per second) camera was used. It looks like a looped video, though, with the end of the exhaust stroke missing. Also, remember that in a 4-stroke engine, the "fire" only happens every other revolution of the engine. So, if an engine is running at 600 RPM, the spark plug is igniting fuel 300 times per minute, or 5 times per second (but the piston is reaching the top 10 times per second).
