trans slip

I recently notice that my trans slips occasionally when changing into 3rd gear . it never does it under heavy to moderate acceleration, only when slowly accelerating. and only 3rd, no other gear. i recently withing the last 500mi changed the fluid & filter. and this is all unloaded. I'm wondering if i should change the fluid again.

I am having the exact same problem. I have a co-worker with a 06 also same problem. The dealer found "no problem " Hopefully someone here knows what the solution is.

sounds like you have the famous tranny flare problem like the rest of us.... mine only does it once in a while?

It's part of the factory programming--the infamous shift flare. It's pretty "normal". SCT tuning can take care of it.

THANKS. I'm glad to know that its "normal" I'll try to stop worrying about it thinking my transmission is on its way out. SCT sounds better & better.
