I've had a Yamaha 350 Grizzly 4x4 w/ independent sus. for about 2 months, and it has about 300 miles on it, and has been serviced(oil change, sparkplug change, oil filter change) and i plan on getting something for it. I live in ohio and it is going to snow in a coulple of months and i was thinking about a plow. i have a lawnmower plow and want to rig it up to my wheeler to save money. what should i do???
If you are hooking this up yourself to a blade, just make sure you provide a way for the plow to fold over if it hits something solid or to ride over it.

I think he is talking about a lawn tractor plow. My neighbor has one for his ATV but, I'm not sure if it home made or not.
In that case, it is probably useless, especially if it is a furrow V type. Unless it is out in front, he puts a cutting blade on it, and provides hydraulic pistons or springs for a fold over. It probably is too heavy and can't be angled.
I would just buy a plow for your ATV. You should be able to get the blade and the mount for about $300.
Ive seen those dinky little blades they have for garden tractors and IMO they are pretty useless.
Ive gotta admit though, it is pretty entertaining watching someone try to plow their driveway with a garden tractor after a 6" snowstorm.
