Welcome aboard! I'm fairly new here myself, but the amount of help, hints, and just general happiness I've found here, has been remarkable!

Ouch, that hurts this 53-55 guy. Oh well, I have had a 52 my self when I was too young to drive it. Dad gave it to me, then they sold it so we could move to Nevada, along with the 56 F-100 and many many truck parts. Still have many many truck parts down there, and am trying to get many many more up here too.

Kidding aside, they're ALL good! I cut my teeth of pre-war Fords, and liked the 53-56's. If I had an F1, it would probably be one of those. Since it's an F2, I like the looks of the stock 51-52. I have seen a lot of nice 48-50's, but almost too many of them. Guess they just remind me too much of my old '51 Shimmy 5-window truck I used to have...of course, I've always had a bit of a macabre taste!!

Wow! Thanks for the big welcome from everyone. Managed to get a few pics in an album so you can check out my ride. I was a senior in high school when I got it and most of my friends though I was nuts. They couldn't understand why I wanted it instead if a 56 F100. Forty years later and now it's in style. I though it was great the whole time.

Tried to link the album but failed in the attempt. It's name is '52 Pickup'

Very nice trucks! Any chance of seeing more of your son's truck. Primer is a finished truck here too.

Welcome to the best site for Ford truck owners. Keep the pics coming, ask lots-o-questions, put on the thick skin, AND bring cookies. Great looking ride.

Thanks to all for the kind comments. It still looks good from 20 feet, LOL, and in pictures. The paint is 18 years old and has plenty of road rash. The hood is starting to heat chech some. My wife says I'm too picky but I want to do it over agian but just can't find the time to work it in right now. I'll get some pics up of my sons truck when I put the Mustang II in it a few years back. Right now his is out being made nicer than mine. If the guy is as good as everyone says, I am thinking about having him do mine. Tough decision as I have never let anyone else touch my truck.
Also, What are "cookies"??

Later,
Rick

Yeah, there are quite a few of us on here with the better looking of the "Bonus Built" trucks, trying to enlighten the members with the older brethren. I personally have a 52' F-3 that I have stretched into an extended cab, and am currently converting into 4x4.

Welcome aboard...and as many have said before, feel free to ask questions, usually someone on here has a clue (or at least can BS enough to sound like they do )

Ok, and I keep looking, but haven't found the cookies yet, I think someone hid them.
