What is this Excursion Worth??

OK Guys,

As much as I hate to say this, I'm considering selling the Excursion. We use it to tow a travel trailer, and simply don't use it enough to justify the payments. With it gone, I may look to further ease payments, and move back to a mini van (yeah I know....)

It's a 2001 Limited 2WD 7.3 PSD.

Blue/Beige Exterior, Beige Leather Interior. Still shines beautifully!

99000 Miles

New Michelin Tires

Jody Tipton 3 Position Switch, Stock, 60 Tow, and 80 Econo

BTS Valve Body

Pillar Gauges (Boost, Trans Temp, EGT)

Overhead DVD

I sure would appreciate any feedback and/or comments.

Cheers,

Jeff

If the interior and exterior are in fairly mint condition, I'd think you could get $15k or so for it. The fact that it's 4x2 will lose you some interest.

Watch out with eBay. From a seller's perspective, you can't always get top dollar. Definitely put a reserve and a buy-it-now on if you care about that. In my case, I got a great deal on my Excursion for that reason - the guy didn't have a reserve, and the starting bid was $6,000. I paid $6650 for a 2000 4x4 Limited V10 with 90k miles.

Don't sell it, just ride it out.

I was in that position back in '03 and again in '06, had I sold my truck, I would've had extra money in my pocket, but at what cost? Every time I'd see an excursion drive by me, I'd regret not keeping my truck while driving something different that I liked for now. Even if I decided to get another one, who knows if I'd even find one? They're hard enough to come accross at dealerships and even privately.

Hang on to your truck, you have one of the rarest colors to roll off the assembly line (Deep Wedgewood Blue) and the way you modded your X, it strikes me as something you would definately miss, especially if you went to a minivan.

I think 15k is low. I say this because I have been all over the internet for 5 months looking for exactly what you are selling. The 4x2 is good if the person your selling to wants to tow. Plus you have all the goodies already installed. I payed 17k for a 2002 with 108k miles and felt good about the deal.
