e40d trans problem

i have a 1996 f350 7.3 , with e40d the trans overdrive light is flashing and it shifts hard, but other than that it runs fine anyone know whats wrong is it a sensor i can replace

Go to someplace that has a code reader to read transmission codes. Without the code from the processor you are shooting in the dark.

The code for my trans , was for the clutch brake, I had the trans rebuilt with upgraded converter . It is shifting good now, thank you to everyone for the help
