Fuel gauge issues
You have a grounding or power signal wire problem.
You need to inspect/clean/secure all connections to get everything (the way it should be) before going inside the tank or behind the dash.

The temp gauge is kinda suspect too actually. In this weather it hangs just on the edge of normal. And I just realized yesterday the amp gauge points straight up whether the truck is on or not. Not to mention the dome light doesn't work even after a bulb change. I really should check the fuse panel I think. And I'll be checking the plug on the fuel sending unit too like someone mentioned in one of those posts you linked to.
Oil/Fuel/Temp gauges
check the connector on any one of these for a constant pulsing of 5 volts
"A Regular pulse"
Pulse.....pulse.....pulse.....pulse.
If it is slow or fast then there si a provblem with the ICVR output or its ground.
