Question Frame strength.

I did a search but nothing. just how strong is the 73-79 reg cab 2wd frame for wieght carrying and heavy trailer tow purposes? I'm doing a frame off soon on my 78 and It will be a sole purpose tow haul rig. Any "weak spots" that should box in or reinforce?
this is a 78 2wd 250 reg cab

What kind of weight are you talking about towing, and how? Bumper pull, gooseneck, 5th wheel, etc etc. The most these trucks were rated to tow was 10K when properly equipped, and I think that was a 1 ton.

about a 12k gn. It will most likly be a 4 horse living quarters aluminum type. The bed hauling maybe 3500lbs of quik crete at any one time. It will have rear discs and a brake booster/master upgrade so stopping will be fine. It will have 19.5 load h TIRES RIMS. I was just concerned there was weak spots like the 80-96 trucks with the rear frame cracking obove the rear axle. I want to prevent "pretzelizing" sp the frame beefing the spots before it's to late.
