but do any of the site sponsors have them?

If you need just the float, it's readily available from Ford and autoparts stores. You will also need the gasket and prolly a new filter screen..it slides over the pickup tube.
The floats are the usual cause for gauges reading incorrectly. This is because the float is made from two pieces of copper soldered together. The solder breaks down, gas seeps into float, which then sinks slowly to the bottom of the tank.

You said "side tank" but you didn't specify which one: Midship or Aft Axle?
The floats, etc. are the same for both, the sending units are different.

If it is a midship tank, my money is on the float too. Happened to me. Once I took the SU out, I could hear the gas sloshing in the float. I also tested the unit by moving the lever up and down while reading resistance to be sure it worked. The good thing is there is plenty of room to fix it while the tank is still installed. Atleast on my SC there was. I changed the seal and float. Not a big deal really. Under an hour if I remeber right. Nice to have both sending units functional especially with the 460.
