sky lights?

anyone have an opinion on skylights in the garage. I'm building a garage and pondering putting in a skylight?

I think they're a great idea, I have plans to do the same. Let some natural light in during the day.

Have not seen it mentioned before and sounds like great idea. Not sure I could go with the skylights until I stop using garage for auto shop with the grinding, sanding, and spray painting. I would go with the frosted, they reflect the light better than the clear.

OMNI.. last garage i installed a ten inch round tube skylight. I never regreted the cost. never. the light is different. I am now in a different small garage, and I will be installing some in the gable roof. And i like the light so much i will install a tubular in my bathroom... i doit all myself, installation usually costs triple the parts price....
