Yeah, I wouldnt see why not, Thats what the part numbers are pretty much for since they have the casting date in the part number themselves. Do you have a particular transmission number you are looking for and what engine is it used with?

No such thing. Casting numbers or specific casting dates do not translate to part numbers. Not now, not ever. Prior to 1953, Ford cast/stamped the actual part number on certain parts. But not since then.
There are casting dates on certain parts, but many numbers on parts are engineering numbers, not casting numbers.
If you find a casting number on a transmission, that usually only represents the specific part it's on..usually the case itself.
In order to ID a transmission, you need the Ford ID tag number from the trans. It's located on a metal tag either on the left side of the case near the levers, or bolted to the back side of the case.

The tag is what i was talking about sorry NumberDummy if I didnt state the trans tag which is what i was referring to. I know there is no "casting numbers" on any Ford transmissions themselves.
