This might be a stupid question, but is it possible to put a one piece rear window glass for a 73-79 in backwards?
Does it matter which side of the glass faces out?
I switched back to the one piece glass due to my sliding glass starting to leaking. Once installed I realized that the tape left on the one piece glass (from the old temp. tag) is now on the outside. Does it really matter?
Thanks guys. The window is in the truck and it dosen't leak, and it isn't tinted so I think i'll leave it in. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't a safety hazard or something. It was a pain to put in by myself. Thank God for packing tape!
As far as the saftey standpoint is concerned, the glass is tempered, and has a saftey layer on the inside so glass does not go flying everywhere. The only issue I can come up with is if the glass was not perfectly flat, you would be putting the convex side into the cab, making it easier to bang your noggin on the glass.
