Had what I thought was a bad lower intake gasket due to a major loss of coolant. I replaced the gasket and now Its running like crap. I have no water on my dipstick but it looks like steam is coming out of the oil cap. Could this be from the prior leak and will it burn off or should I redo the job again?
FWIW: The last time I did mine, I removed the hood and front wheels, set her down on her balljoints, made reaching much easier. Remember the intake manifold is set in inch/lbs, and be judicious with the silicone bead around the front and rear joints.
Probably leaking at the rear passenger water channel (the gasket has a tendency to roll into the manifold) or around the thermostat bypass passenger front.

Where was the original leak?
the origanal leak was right between the intake and the valve cover on the drivers side
