egr delete pipe and valve

I'm new so this might be a dumb question. If i cap off the up pipe into the egr cooler can i leave the egr pluged in ? Will the computer think everything is normal and have the egr valve open and close like it normaly would but my other question is if the egr valve is open but no exhaust pushing through the valve will the intake boost push its way past the valve into the cooler creating more lag? The whole thing behind it is i have know way of deleting any codes that show up so i thought this might work but it is just a guess.

It would probably set a cel. maybe if you blog it off, then unplug it, then start her up. but if your from cali or other emissions **** states the chances of a cel are gonna be a lot higher.

Yes you can leave the EGR plugged in while using a delete pipe. You may see a CEL or code due to "Low EGR flow". I suggest looking into a SCT to remove the EGR function if you get the CEL or code.
