I need To replace the power brake booster on my 1968 F-250 camper special and I need to knwo what booster to get, on schucks website they have one with a adjustable push rod and one with a non adjustable push rod. So my question is which one do I need for my truck. IT has front and rear drum brakes. Here is the link to schucks, I am getting a remanufactured one is that ok? I am 19 and on a budget
try LMCtruck.com or DennisCarpenter.com for parts. as for Shucks, they are the same as Cragens or Checkers, depending on the location in the lower 48. I personally deal with Autozone for parts like that because My roomate works there and He knows his S#*T. That of course helps. They also have a great computer system W/ pics so the customer can confirm the part.
Good luck

i think remanufactured is when they take your core swap and they fix whatever is wrong with it, then put it back on the shelf at retail.......
blue is like arrrrgh, is it good or bad ?!?
i dont know, my remanufactured heater core i got from shucks was ok
I use re-manufactured parts quite often, since you can not get new parts all the time or too expensive. These are like new specs units. They just reused the parts that do not wear out. On a rebuilt part (which you do not see hardly any more) the part that caused the unit to fail is repaired or replaced, but none of the the other related parts are. Meaning you may only have 1 new part in assembly that has many old that can fail in a short time. Like just changing the front bearing in a alternator, and not the back one.
If I recall there are not may mfg that remanufacture these parts anyway. Should be good.
