I swaped my 96 f-250 from E4OD to a 5 speed and I think I have the wrong flywheel the truck shakes now. I think I have a 89 302 flywheel and my truck is a 351. Can I swap my balancer and get it to stop shaking?

The only way to correct it is to install a flywheel for your 351. I dont remember what the weight diffrence is. I ran into this problem when I swaped from a 302 to 351 in My 88 F150. If you just change the balancer the crankshaft still will not be in balance.
I wouldn't drive it or run the engine untill I changed the flywheel. You will take the chance of damaging the internals. I bought my flywheel at orileys for around $100
Thanks for the info. I had another truck that did the same thing. I gave up when the wrong flywheel took out the main barrons I and put a 300 6 back in it.
im having the same problem on my nite, what is the p/n or application the flywheel is used on?Also i found a 88 f-250 with a 300 and it was 5 speed,is this a zf?If it is can i use the flywheel from it?Can i use anything from it?Will it bolt up,sorry for all the questions but i just got this nite,i am by no means a newbee,i have built several mustangs and 4x4 trucks and have a sick xj-just trying to make a race truck.

I'm lost with the p/n zf p/n? I'm new on here but anyway.... I do know one thing the best flywheel to use and be safe is one out of a truck the same year with the same motor
