We need to change gov't here. There is oppotunity to make some headway in this province if the political climate was one that would foster business development here to take advantage of this boom while it lasts.
Only two more weeks and it`s over.
As long as the change doesn`t bankrupt the province again, we`re still digging out from the last ''progressive thinking'' big spender without a clue.
Lossing the used vehicle pst sounds great, it should have never been put on in the first place....!
It`s impossible to keep the books balanced while promoting economic growth in lean times.
Too many look for the gov`t to create jobs/opportunity, keeping taxes down, providing excellent heath care/school funding while not interfering with private enterprise.
thats another problem. we "the people" want too much. we want a better economy, schools, health care...all that jazz, but it has to be paid for as well, so the taxes will increase right?? then its a big cry and whine about that. one thing i don't agree with is an '80 year old lady having to pay the big education portion on her property taxes. as far as i'm concerned, if ya got no kids of an educational age, you shouldn't have to pay for the education. thats just my opinion. another issue that gets me fired up is the provision for the tribes...but we won't get started on that...
