Bad floor pans
I have an 87 f150 reg cab and i noticed the floor is starting to rust through buy the front left corner cab support and bhind it a little so i was wondering has anyone had this done via a boby shop i mean replacing the rusted part of the floor and if so what was the cost (i would like to learn how to do body work myselt just to skared to practice on my good truck)

I just bought all new pans for my truck from LMC I'm going to do the work myself. The trick is to cut out the bad parts and replace with a patch panel from the new pan. You can replace the whole thing but if the rest is good why mess with it.
Not sure what the cost from a shop would be. But the good thing about floor pans no one will see them if you do mess up.

Just cut the pan out drill out the spot welds as best as you can and use an air hammer (air chisle) to convince the pan to come up of the support.then make life easier and cut holes in the new pan to spot weld the pan to the support from the top instead of from under the truck.
Thats what I did when I had to do a quick repair to pass safety.
