cel code 95 or 96
Ok, the other day, my truck died on the way to work. i figured I was out of gas, so I had my wife bring me some gas for home. It took her about 10 minutes and she brought a tank. I put a few gallons in the truck, started it, and drove off only to die after about 50 yards. This happened a few times, add gas, wait, start, drive and die. i finally got it towed home.
I pulled my codes and got a 95. The high pressure pump sounded bad, so I siwtched it out and put in a new filter jsut in case. That didn't solve the problem. I checked and I have gas coming form the rear tank (the fron tank hasn't worked since I got the truck) and from the high pressure pump. I changed out the fuel pressure regulator, the EEC relay and the fuel pump relay.
i can start the truck if I wait for a hwile (>30 miuntes) or if I spray starter fluid into the throttle body. after she starts, I can keep her running for about a minute by butterflying the gas like crazy. If she sits overnight, she will run for about 5 minutes if I don't do anything, but then dies.
I have cleared my codes and I keep throwing either a 95 or a 96. It feels like something electrical overheats or something and then kills the power to my pumps.
anyone have any ideas?
