well i went a adjuted the timing and put everything back the way it should be and now the only conclusion that i have come upwith is that the newly remanufactured carb i bought is crap so now i need to return it, so anyone that gave me input about the install thanx

yea everything is hooked up right and in good shape, had 3 people look at it, but it all looked good and was in the right place, just a bad carb i guess, and the auto parts store gave me a hard time and i had to cal the rebuilder and talk to him so now im taking it off and sending it back

I would suggest calling Recarbco.

They advertise that you bolt the thing on and go. I got a 1 barrel Ford 1101 from them, and sure enough, the carbs deliver.
I did have to make a small mixture change, but the carb is great.

well i took the carb back, the air/gas mixture screw had no effect when screwed with and the fast idle screw also had no effect..so i called the reman. and he just said send it back and he will send me a new one so now my truck is just sitting around again...
