Just installed a single stack slightly offset on the pass side. I was wondering what you guys do about rain water throwing soot everywhere? Its been raining the past two days and the roof and bed of my truck have little black dots and streaks all over it. Check my gallery for pics. Thanks.
My opinion is that it is too low, your back window and inside of bed will be covered in soot, as the air coming over the roof line will swoop down and swirl the exhaust in the bed. I would put it a little higher. To be honest, i'd add another one to get rid of the goofy look. I never really liked one stack, unless it was a huge one directly in the center. But to each his own. Go out and get the inside of that sooty!
I went with the 5" single stack because around here (Mid Florida) it is popular on pulling and race trucks. There are only about 3 or 4 around but I think it looks awsome. Guess I just have to deal with the soot. Thanks everybody.
