Another Shaking Vibration Question
I have a 96 F150 4x4 with a 5.8 and a Auto tranny. The truck is fine except between 35 and 45 mph I get a shake / Vibration. I can't tell for sure but I think it is in the front end. The tires are fair, but they will need replacing in the next few months. The part I don't understand is the truck drives fine below 35mph and over 45 mph. I can do 70 mph with no vibration and the truck drives straight as an arrow. Any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated!

well i would check you front end for starters. just jack the front end up and shake the tire and feel for any play in the tie-rods, ball joints, and wheel bearings. i would also get your tires balance checked. you may have knocked off a weight on one of your wheels.

I'm thinking this is an out of balance (or out of round) tire. Try to find a shop that has the machine that also checks for the tire for being out of round when it balances it. I had a pretty nasty vibration from out-of-round tires.
