Bad ignition
Hello guys, just found this site! I have a 90 F250 that ive owned for 10 years. The other day I tried to start it,the key turned,dash lit but no crank. i jumped the solinoid under the hood and it started up. Went to move it tonight, started up the same way, but now i cant get it out of park. The ignition feels sloppy. I have a couple questions, 1, is there anything besides the ign switch to prevent the shifter from moving? 2 how difficult is it to change the ignition/ Thanks Jerry

Shouldnt be too hard, all the new stuff is held in by a pin so I dont think it would be any different. Just remove whats needs to be outta the way and n all yea should have to do is push in a lever n which moves a pin n out pops the ignition/lock cylinder. Yeah the cylinder pretty much holds the gear selector from moving on the column.
