6.0 problem?
hey guys, i went to look at a very nice 2005 f250 that has about 170k ish km's on it. the truck itself is very clean and tight, but the only thing that concerned me was it felt almost like it was running on 7 cylinders. it kinda chugged a bit, and didn't quite have the acceleration that the others did (it was making good boost as well). ohhh and there wern't any trouble codes, it is due for an oil change, and it was quite low on fuel. has anyone had this happen to them? anything to look for (clogged air or fuel filter? maybe a bad injector?). my buddy has a usb scanner...is there a way to check the trucks computer? i would like to buy the truck but i don't want to buy a truck that has an expensive repair right off the bat.

its from a repo lot. is the oasis report for all over north america? i'm in BC but the truck could of come from anywhere in canada, and can i get it online or do i have to go to a dealer? killaford, what do you mean for not good for this style of fuel system? as in a bad filter could do serious damage? thanks for the quick replies guys, and keep 'em coming

A bad filter COULD cause serious damage but is more likely to cause rough running. The oasis shows all warranty work that has been performed on the truck. Just get the vin and ask a dealer for an oasis on the truck or you can post the vin in the oasis thread at the top of this forum.
